‘Walk a Mile in Her Shoes’ – Women’s Charity High Tea Feb 2025

On Saturday 8 February 2025, the Gold Coast comes together for ‘Walk a Mile in Her Shoes’ – Women’s Charity High Tea, a feel-good afternoon raising vital funds for the Domestic Violence Prevention Centre and women’s & junior cricket programs at Broadbeach-Robina Cricket Club.

Hosted at Broadbeach Sports Club – Dunlop Court, Mermaid Waters, the event runs from 12:30pm to 4:00pm and your $75 ticket includes refreshments, food and champagne on arrival. Come for the high tea, stay for the inspiration, and leave knowing you’ve helped make a real difference.

Event Highlights
1:30pm – Inspiring Women Panel

Two incredible changemakers share their stories and hard-earned insights:

  • Bec Rawlings – Domestic violence survivor & Bare Knuckle Boxing World Champion
  • Bonnie Hancock – Professional Ironwoman & youngest person to paddle around Australia

Expect empowering conversation, practical takeaways, and plenty of heart.

3:00pm – The Broady Slipper

Lace up (your heels!). Don’t miss the inaugural Mercure Hotels men’s high-heel footrace — a fun, spirited reminder that allyship means walking the talk.

3:30pm – Fundraising Finale

Auctions, raffles and a door prize wrap up the afternoon. Every bid and ticket goes straight back into local services and programs for women and juniors.

Why Your Ticket Matters

Proceeds support:
