Under 15 Division 1 – Grand Final Recap
Broadbeach Robina’s Under 15 Division 1 side were crowned premiers after a hard-fought 30-run victory over Palm Beach Gold in a two-day Grand Final.
Batting first, Broady posted 9/115 from 25 overs in a shortened innings. Connar Robson (36) top-scored with a composed knock at the top of the order, while Ky Newitt (15), Matthew Manley (14), and Jack Kann (14) all chipped in with valuable runs to lift the total into defendable territory.
Defending 115, the Cats’ bowlers were outstanding, dismissing Palm Beach for just 85 in 23.3 overs. Jack Kann (3/19) led the attack with crucial breakthroughs, while Matthew Manley (3/3 from 2.3 overs) delivered a devastating spell to dismantle the lower order.
