Under 13 Division 1 – Grand Final Recap
Broadbeach Robina’s Under 13 Division 1 side claimed the premiership with a clinical 6-wicket win over Burleigh Maroon in a two-day Grand Final.
Burleigh were restricted to just 75 from 44.3 overs thanks to an outstanding bowling performance from the Cats. Reef Webb (3/6 from 7 overs, including 3 maidens) was the pick of the bowlers, ripping through the middle order. He was superbly supported by Jackson Robson (1/1 from 3 overs), Harry Smith (1/10) and Owen Dunn (1/2), with the attack maintaining relentless pressure. Tight bowling combined with sharp fielding and safe hands in the field meant Burleigh never built momentum.
In reply, Broadbeach Robina chased down the target in 24.3 overs, finishing at 4/76. Reef Webb capped a brilliant all-round game with 27 not out*, guiding the innings home with maturity, while Kyle Burgess (9 not out)* and contributions from the top order ensured the chase was steady.
It was a complete team effort — disciplined bowling, committed fielding, and calm batting — that delivered Broadbeach Robina the Under 13 Division 1 Premiership by 6 wickets.
