Newest Life Member - 2026
Jason "Raff" Raffin
The Broadbeach Cats Cricket Club is delighted to welcome its newest Life Member in 2026, Jason Raffin!
Jason’s record speaks for itself. Across his time with the Cats he has played 12 finals, nine of them as captain. He has led and featured in three Grand Final appearances for two Premierships. He’s been a major driving force behind an incredible run of eight straight seasons reaching the finals in 5th Grade. Few players at the Cats have achieved that kind of sustained success and fewer still can say they did it while leading from the front.
Jason is the very definition of a great club man. He is always happy to give others a go on the field, he backs his teammates to get the job done and he plays the game hard but with genuine respect for his opponents. That balance of competitiveness and sportsmanship is exactly what the Cats value most, and it is a big part of why he has become such a respected figure around the club.
On behalf of everyone at BRCC, congratulations Jason on this well deserved honour. Your contribution both on and off the field has left a lasting mark, and this Life Membership is a fitting tribute to everything you have given the club.
