4th Grade – Grand Final Recap
Broadbeach Robina’s 4th Grade side saved their best for the big stage, powering to a 116-run victory over Palm Beach Currumbin to claim the premiership.
Batting first, Broady piled on a strong 7/201 from 35 overs, led by a superb innings from Paul Sinclair (97), who fell just short of a well-deserved century after dominating the attack. He was well supported by *Zach Hayes (34 not out)**, who accelerated late, and Brett Ingham (16), with extras adding a valuable 28 runs. The commanding total set the tone for the final.
With the ball, Broadbeach Robina’s attack was ruthless, restricting Palm Beach to just 6/85 from 22 overs. Mark King (4/20 off 7 overs) was the destroyer, ripping through the middle order with pace and accuracy. He was backed by Robbie Hayes (1/15) and Vince Serci (1/27), while the fielders held their chances, including two stumpings from Paul Sinclair behind the stumps.
It was a complete performance — a near-century from Sinclair, a four-wicket haul from King, and sharp fielding across the park — that delivered a dominant 116-run win and crowned Broadbeach Robina as 4th Grade Premiers.
