About the Cats

The Broadbeach Robina Cricket Club (BRCC) was founded in 1991 and has an impressive and proud history as one of the strongest clubs in both seniors and juniors on the Gold Coast. BRCC has teams in 1st to 6th grade as well as sides in all junior age groups from Woolworths Cricket Blast (https://playcricket.com.au/) through to u17s.

Registered player numbers for seniors and juniors are more than 200. Over the past 4 years the club has had its most successful seasons ever.

1st Grade achieved back to back premierships in 2011/12 and 2012/13 as well as being semifinalists for the past 2 seasons. Last season, the junior sides performed exceptionally well with the u14’s and u13’s won premierships and the u17’s and u15’s were Grand Finalists. 13 players form the junior sides played representative cricket for the Gold Coast.

A team from BRCC has also won Last Man Stands (LMS) Gold Coast regional for the past 2 seasons and made the ¼ finals of the Aust LMS championships the past 2 years.

BRCC’s main ground is on Dunlop Court, Mermaid Waters on the Gold Coast. This is a multi-sports venue that is shared between the cricket club and Broadbeach AFL club who plays in the North East Australian Football League (NEAFL) competition. The clubs facilities are without question, the best on the Gold Coast. There is a licensed club, 5 training nets, state of the art change rooms and the best ground in the competition. It also provides the perfect spot for family, friends and visitors to spread out a blanket, sit under the shade of trees to watch the “Cats” take on their opponent.

BRCC’s 2nd ground is at Merrimac High School. The club has fostered a very good relationship with Merrimac High School.
